Both downloads are the online edition — they need a connection and a Sarvam API key. The offline edition, which needs neither, is still experimental and is handed over on request only; how that works.

After installing

Getting to a working licence

  1. Install it and try it properly.

    Thirty days, every feature, no card, no account. Put the textbooks in and go — on CBSE they arrive by themselves.

  2. Add your Sarvam API key.

    SmartTutor tutors on Sarvam's model, so a Sarvam key is required. It needs one, and it needs a connection. You pay Sarvam directly for what you use; we hold no usage and add no markup.

    A free Cloudflare Workers AI key is added alongside it, so the tutor keeps answering when Sarvam is slow or unreachable.

  3. When the trial ends, copy your Machine ID.

    It is on the licence screen, and looks like a1b2c3d4-e5f6-7890-abcd-ef1234567890.

  4. Paste it at checkout and pay.

    Go to the checkout page, choose monthly or yearly, pay once or autopay — the licence code is emailed the moment payment clears.

  5. Paste the licence code back into SmartTutor.

    The licence code arrives by email the moment payment clears. The app checks it on the machine itself — no account, no sign-in. Lost the email? Ask for it again at checkout with the address you bought with.

For a school the steps are the same, with one difference: you buy the number of machines you need, and every one of them uses the same master code. Nothing to hand out per student.

SmartTutor ships with question-bank statistics for the boards and grades listed in the guide. When newer statistics are published you can pull them in without reinstalling: download the file below, then open the AI Tutor tab, click Exam Topics in the chat toolbar, choose the file and press Apply Update.

Covers Tamil Nadu grades 10, 11 and 12, and CBSE grades 10 and 12, plus competitive-exam papers including NDA, JEE-Advanced, CDS, UPSC-CSE, CTET and NEET. NEET is chemistry so far, and ICSE and ISC are not covered. Where there is no data for a board or grade, the readout simply does not appear.
